Porch Piracy and Lost/Stolen Packages

At Defined Elegance Candle Co., we are committed to ensuring our customers receive their orders safely and promptly. Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information to help you monitor the delivery status of your package.

However, we understand that porch piracy is an increasing concern. To provide clarity and maintain transparency, please carefully review our shipping policy regarding stolen or missing packages:

1. Customer Responsibility

Tracking and Delivery Management: It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor the tracking information provided and make necessary arrangements to receive the package.

Secure Delivery Location: Ensure the shipping address provided during checkout is a secure location where you can retrieve the package immediately after delivery.

2. Defined Elegance Candle Co.’s Role

Carrier Responsibility: Once your package is shipped, it is in the care of the shipping carrier. Defined Elegance Candle Co. is not liable for delays, theft, or misplacement once the carrier marks the package as “Delivered.”

Claims with Carrier: If your package is stolen or lost after delivery, we recommend contacting the shipping carrier directly to file a claim.

3. No Replacements for Stolen Packages

Unfortunately, Defined Elegance Candle Co. is unable to offer replacements or refunds for packages marked as “Delivered” by the carrier but reported as stolen.

4. Tips for Securing Your Package

Delivery Notifications: Sign up for delivery alerts through the shipping carrier’s website or app.

Alternative Address: If you’re unable to be home during delivery, consider shipping to a trusted friend, family member, or workplace.

If my item arrives damaged or defective, what do I do?

Should circumstances arise, simply send a photo of the product and shipping label to our email address and our team will respond within 48 hours.
